How to use:

Shave, treat, repeat - it’s that easy!

1. Shave before treatment, ensuring there’s no visible hair. Cleanse and dry skin, don’t use any gels or creams.
2. Plug in the device, it will turn on automatically. Place the device firmly against your skin and press the activation button to flash.
3. Move to the next area after each flash. Use a stamp method for smaller areas like underarms and bikini line or hold the activation button down for glide mode – perfect for larger areas like legs.
4. If extra comfort is needed, select gentle mode.
5. Repeat once a week for 12 weeks, switch to maintenance treatments as needed to maintain results.

Always complete a patch test 24 hours before starting your first treatment.

What is IPL hair removal, and will it work for me?

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a light-based hair removal method that targets the melanin (pigment) inside the hair to interrupt the hair growth cycle and prevent hair regrowth, without damaging the skin.

IPL is most effective when there is a contrast between the skin and hair - please check our skin tone chart for suitability.

Before use:

IPL is not suitable for you if:

• You are pregnant or lactating
• You have a history of skin cancer of pre-cancerous lesions
• Your skin tone & hair color combination does not match the safe & effective range shown on our suitability charts

IPL cannot be used on areas of the body where you have:

• Tattoos or permanent makeup
• Fillers or similar facial treatments
• Dark brown or black spots including birthmarks, moles, and freckles
• A rash, broken skin, a scab, or a healed wound
• Tanning & sunburn

Do not use if your skin has been artificially or naturally tanned or is burned from sun overexposure as your skin may be extra sensitive. Wait 1 week until sunburn or tan disappears before using SmoothSkin.

Caring for your SmoothSkin IPL Device:

• After treatment, always switch off your SmoothSkin device by unplugging the electrical outlet.
• To ensure the maximum performance of your device it is important to keep the front of the device free from dirt, hair or debris. Before and after every use wipe clean the front of the device with a soft lint free, dry cloth. If necessary, you can also carefully clean the front of the device with a slightly damp cotton pad.
• The glass filter can get hot during use, please DO NOT touch, or clean the filter for at least 5 minutes after use to allow it to cool down.
• Please don’t use water or other cleaning fluids, as these can damage the device leading to a potential safety hazard. Always inspect the treatment window to ensure the window is undamaged.
• Store your SmoothSkin device in a cool, dry place. Make sure the treatment window and skin tone sensor on the device are protected from damage. Please regularly check the device (including cords) for visible signs of damage. In case of damage or cracks, stop using the device - and visit the website for support details.
